I have now submitted 21 medical school primary applications (cost so far = $850). Each of these will require a second, much more costly secondary application. And each of these secondary applications will require some number of school-specific essays. It is essentially a black hole of time and money, from which no light escapes. And despite having all the time in the world (work shifts cancelled this week), I am making no real progress. I keep getting distracted by triathlons and block parties. And so, I look to McSweeney’s, again, for inspiration.
