This is my interpretation of 단팥죽 (red bean porridge) at 서울서 둘째로 잘하는 집 (literal translation: The Second Yummiest Place in Seoul).The tea is earthy. The atmosphere is warm and chaotic like a big Christmas gathering. The porridge is think and smooth. It tastes like cinnamon and honey. The gingko nut is a surprise. The texture is gummy and the taste is bitter. The chestnuts are soft and I am overwhelmed by how fresh and flavorful it is possible for such things to be.
